How will you contribute:
The Assistant Project Manager utilizes administrative and technical skills while assisting the Project Manager. They will build positive relationships with team members, leadership, and customers.
- Develop efficient working relationships with Project Managers and Leadership.
- Attend project meetings; take and distribute meeting minutes.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate pre-installation meeting.
- Make site visits to ensure highest levels of quality workmanship and implement quality controls, if needed.
Project Management Software (PMS) – PROCORE
- Train, assist, and support team member on PMS.
- Update construction documents within system.
- Upload budget, enter project contact into directory and create prime contract
- Establish distribution list for submittal tracking and distribution with each PM.
- Create and distribute reports to appropriate team members.
- Maintain updates in Project Management Software.
Construction Administration
- Review and manage shop drawings and submittals.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers with progress, updates, and changes.
- Assist in take-offs, estimates, material purchasing, material procurement tracking, and subcontractor communication/scheduling.
- Update and track schedule progress.
- Draft RFIs, POs, and Subcontracts.
- Organize and assemble operations and maintenance information.
- Take initiative to check in regularly with PM.
- Implement changes to improve the overall process and communication with PM.
- Additional Tasks, as assigned.
What you need to qualify:
Ideally, candidates will have industry experience through internships and/or work experience.
Daniels will help make the most of your post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in Construction Management. 3+ Years of Industry Experience – in lieu of degree may be considered.
You can stand out above other candidates by having knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or Project Management Software (Procore.)
Candidates should have the ability to multitask and perform several projects at one time, have an effective communication style, and the ability to collaborate with team members and customers. Attention to detail will be crucial in this role.
