NO DAY IS THE SAME!  Employees have the opportunity to have a diverse workload and perform a variety of jobs during all phases of construction. The role entails a wide range of tasks, from basic to difficult. Candidate is a key to successful operation on the job site, working closely with all team members to complete the projects.

day in the life:

  • Preparing and finishing both interior and exterior concrete reinforcing structures including flatwork walls, docks, curb and gutter, and light bases.
  • Tasks may include job set up, hard trowel machine finishing, exterior broom finishing and decorative/stamped projects.
  • Coordinate activities of a small work crew.
  • Able to build and set concrete forms (foundations, slabs, etc.)
  • Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
  • Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
  • Applying sealing and hardening components.
  • Ability to problem solve and make timely decisions.
  • Load and transport material to jobsite.
  • Maintain clean worksite.
  • Ensure that safety standards are enforced on all job site.
  • Properly read specification sheets.

Safety

  • Attend and participate in all required safety trainings and toolbox talks.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the Company’s safety program (particularly the use of hardhats, safety glasses, and work boots and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture.

qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of concrete experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with others and be a self-starter.
  • Valid drivers’ license and/or reliable means of transportation, required.
  • Ability to obtain CDL, preferred.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED, preferred.
  • Great work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
  • Ability to work indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Basic knowledge of construction means and methods.
  • Ability to take direction, to listen and to understand assigned tasks.
  • Ability to hold oneself accountable for actions, successes and failures.
  • Ability to be flexible in the work environment and willing to adapt to changing construction site needs.
  • Ability to speak and understand English, required.
  • Maintain Basic Hand Tools.
